What you are recreating

The meme is a deadpan slow clap: the cat looks at you, grins with a full set of human teeth and applauds a little too long. On TikTok it is used as sarcastic applause for bad behavior, as Know Your Meme describes it. Your version keeps that timing, with your own pet in the lead. If you missed the original, see where the clapping cat meme comes from.

Step by step

  1. Pick the photo. One pet, facing the camera, in daylight. Head and chest at minimum; the whole body is better.
  2. Sign in and pick the shape. Tall 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and chats; wide 16:9 for YouTube or a TV.
  3. Wait about 3–4 minutes. You can close the page; the video waits in My videos.
  4. Save and send. On a phone, save it to Photos and share it from there. On a computer, download the MP4.

What happens in the 10 seconds

TimeWhat your pet does
0–1 sSits upright on a sofa and stares into the lens
1–3 sMouth stretches into a wide, toothy grin
3–8 sSlow claps with small human hands, about one per second
8–10 sHolds its hands together, still grinning

The sound is AI-generated slow clapping in a quiet room. There is no music, so you can add a trending sound in TikTok.

What we can and cannot do

  • It is a new AI video, not an edit of the original clip. The scene is always a calm living room.
  • Each run is different. Sometimes a paw stays a paw, the grin comes late or a clap blurs. If a take is off, the next one usually lands.
  • Markings can drift on very fluffy coats or busy patterns. A sharp photo keeps them closest.
  • We do not use reference videos and you cannot write your own prompt.
